    Default Manga is everywhere!!! ARGH

I didn't put this in the forum for manga since that's generally for the people who like it and want to share their passion etc.... Anyhow, i don't want to insult anyone here, it's just a rant -

(Please don't move it to the other forum, or I'll get bombarded with -reps from loads of emos)

I used to be a fan of Deviant - I liked to see people artwork and graphics, and see how others developed their work and how they saw the world through art bla bla bla, anyway, these days all I see is manga manga manga, it's every effing where, and it's really annoying me.

The actual style doesn't irritate me, it's just everything that goes with it. There's millions of pictures on sites like Deviant art, where people draw something and other people comment on it saying how good it is, and then they try and copy it, and so on, and it's lost all meaning to me now, I don't see it as art because I see it all the time. The kids in school who like it are a bunch of loners who hang around in the library copying pictures from comics, and even tracing stuff, and then they're all like 'hey that's good, you're good at drawing this, you should do more' - these kind of comments are also on the internet, and it spreads around because people think they've got some unique skill, which is then encouraged by others.

Um, so yeah I've stopped whinging now. But is anyone else also sick of it?

I mean no offence to Manga. I'm a fan of Studio Ghibli, I just get annoyed by all the people who draw endless drawings of characters from anime cartoons and films and think it's a skill.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. - Terry Pratchett

I do think its annoying when people trace and such and pass it off as their own work, but then theres people like me (and many others ofc.) who draw from looking at a pic or straight from their head which should be complimented (if its good ofc ).

I think its pretty easy to spot a traced drawing anyway, unless its drawn with a tablet or somethin.
