    Default Hamsters - Any tips!?

Any tips about what to give hamsters for fun like toilet roll or like, how to hold them and stuff.

I don't have one, but I need to know.

    Thanks,
    Danny

They really enjoy long cardboard tubes like... Kitche Roll tubes, or ones that posters come in. They also enjoy a wheel.

When picking up hamsters you gtoa be careful that they don't try and bite your fingers though.

they tend to like fruity chews and, as you mentioned, tubes which they can go through.. they also enjoy burrowing in amongst bedding to sleep, so make sure they're able to do so

Put sellotape around it so it doesn't split when you screw it.

My hamster used to love cardboard tubes (Toilet Roll since kitchen roll ones are huge) - Always seemed to love the chocolate/yoghurt buttons.

For holding it, for me it always worked best if I rubbed my hands in sawdust then just like lifted it with one hand - my hamster was quite tame so I could just let it run around on the bed etc - Didn't have to hold it tight but I did when I had the gerbil.

Its really dependent on how tame the hamster is for the method of holding it
