    Post Canon 50D

    Hello all,

    I am looking to upgrade to the new semi-professional camera from Canon, the EOS 50D. I was planning to get this for September 2009, however due to a number of reasons I am looking to get a loan from my parents for £1100 to buy the kit needed. I am looking to buy the 50D body only, plus the Battery Grip and spare battery.

    Specifications of 50D;

    • 15.1 MP (APS-C) CMOS sensor
    • 6.3 fps with up to 90 JPEG image burst
    • DIGIC 4 processor
    • ISO range up to 12800
    • 3-ich VGA LCD with Live View
    • High precision wide area AF

    I have been looking around the internet for the best deals I can find, and this is what I have found so far;

    50D Body - http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mai...t.php?pid=4897

    BG and Battery Deal (under main product) -

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-BG-E2N...DEV5GZC7XPW7KR

    I was wondering if you can help me find any cheaper deals on the internet (not ebay, unless they are a UK based business/person with over 3000 positive feedback)? It would be a great help, plus I am happy to answer any questions here with regards to cameras or my photography.

    Thanks again,

    Darren

    This does indeed look like a good camera, and the best camera for me to buy. Things such as the 20D, 40D etc are getting hold now and the 50D just beats them in specifications, however I can not afford a 5D MK2 therefore I have settled with the intention to buy a 50D.

    That site wants £949.00 for the 50D body!

    Nice camera, looking at your pictures you have posted on this forum before, it doesn't look like you need to upgrade as the pictures look fantastic. Am planning on getting a camera in March for my birthday, not in a rush to get one. Good luck anyway.

    I need to upgrade to get more FPS

    If you are looking to get a DSLR for the first time, the 450D looks good
