Visual basic? Why would you want to make something in that.
Can't you make something in a real language?

    Agreed.

You're going to do nothing in VB other then drag and drop, and maybe right a few lines of unorganized, unthoughtout code..

I'd recommend you try a different language... C++ or C# maybe?

    Could be worse.
In my school we're made to use TruBasic.

Well its cause these so called "Teachers" know **** all. They do a course like "Microsoft Visual Basic for beginners" and then can magically teach the subject :S

What do you think C++ and C# is? Drag & drop... Unless a Console application.

You do very little "dragging and dropping", the only dragging and dropping you do on a C#/C++ application is designing the UI.

VB is constantly dragging and dropping and setting params. I guess you can say they are related, but I would recommend moving away from VB.

VB is a good starting point. Its not as simple as people think and companies do recognise it as a language still.

If you want to work on a project together, add me to msn. I'm thinking about starting one.

I havent tried C++ but C# is quite easy so i'd scrap VB and head over to C#.

Thanks guys. I know VB sucks, it is CONSTANT drag and drop property setting, action setting, it's all crap. The actual code is incredibly basic. And my teacher sucks! He gets everything wrong. This supposed teacher of 9 years of VB, "forgot" that % was modulus. Luckily I'm in a Java programming class with a decent teacher, though I really want to do some C# or even C++. Preferably C# but idk. Hopefully next year. I'm taking AP Computer Science AB which will be discontinued next year as not enough students, it's a 2nd year college course, but then I get to go to Northwestern College for further study.

@Protege: Is it just me, or in these classes, do these teachers just DON'T understand OO code?

Funny: He actually declared a global variable inside the class, of which he already broke the naming convention, and argued that a constant number should be in a variable , anyway, he proceeded to, within the sub, assign a new variable, and then he assigns the new variable the value of the global variable! I said that was extremely redundant, and it ignored our naming 'convention', which he had used for 9 years, funny how he forgets it so easily. Uh. Sorry. rant.

I'll do the calculator with Sqrt and post it here. It'll just be +, -, etc. If I have enough time I'll incorporate keys as in + keys in it too.
How could this hapen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?lol.
