    Default Re phrase

"Show Off Your Website Here - Including Habbo Fansites."

Don't you think that title is 1. incorrect and 2. way to long?

Incorrect because to show off our website is inaccurate if it isn't even our website in the first place. Development crap etc usually gets posted there, or general happenings like clubhabbo got hacked again etc. Not exactly reflecting well on the forum title.

Way to long because.... just look at it. It's stupid, why not name it "Website showcase" or "Website Advertisements" or what ever is suitable.

Why is "including habbo fansites" even in it? Wouldn't that go in the description?

I think a rename is needed. Something suitable and short instead of a whole sentence.

Its a very good idea - and you're right the last bit is really better suited for the description. I think the only reason its there is to make sure people realise and dont go posting in other forums, but it would do the same job in the description.

Some people could show their Habbo related sites in, 'Habbo in General' though. But yeah it is a bit long.

I get what you mean by the "Including Habbo Fansites" part, but I think it should reamin a "Post YOUR website" because otherwise you'll get people advertising sites that aren't directly linked to an owner and the member will be taking the rap for a poor website and it'll just turn into a criticising forum when criticisms aren't taken on board. ClubHabbo discussions should be in the Habbo Forums. The description could hold most of the details and the title could simply be one of the examples you suggested

So your saying if they do change the words more people will post other peoples website? Even if they do, tough ****, they do it now, it won't make any difference after a title rename. (criticism, but does't criticism 9/10 help a website to improve?)

I really don't think that will affect what currently happens in there, but I could be wrong, but if what you say does happen then wow...

Nice to see you agree partially with my opinion on the title name.

How can criticism change a website when the owner isn't the one behind the thread? At least with an owner posting a thread you can direct complaints straight at him/her. Having some random person posting a website will just lead to meaningless criticism, because the criticism isn't being directed to someone who can make the appropriate changes. It'll be like moaning about YouTube in a thread, nothing will get done unless someone behind YouTube is given the complaints. If that makes sense?

Perhaps changing the rules slightly so that it means anyone behind the coding, the content and the running of the website are the only ones to advertise, but as you said, people won't read that and with the moderators behind that forum not really taking much action on the common sense front, it seems unlikely.

*Common sense as in, it is called "Post YOUR website" so it's obvious it means someone's website, not a website you browse.

Uhh I cba doing a descriptive reply, I'm tired and I'm going to bed now. (ill reply tomorrow in depth)

But on another critiscm note, I think the description depth in the tech section is off balanced too.

    For example:

    Technical Problems (1 Viewing)
    Including Hardware and Software.

The rest have a sentence or 2 (long) and this one seems to be a yeah I'm ****** to type more I'll just do this impression to it.

I know theres not much you could describe it as, and im being very picky with what I criticise but still, it looks unbalanced with the others.

"Report your hardware or software problems here".

How can it include hardware and software when they are the only 2 you can get anyway? (if anybody else understands what I just got at)

I'm off to bed, tired. night. (sorry for spelling etc, eyes shutting )

Technical problems should be merged with the general tech forum since hardly anyone posts in the Tech Problems.
