    When I attempt to run the guitar pro 5.2 setup i get this error:


    any ideas?

    yes. and i've tired run as admin and still get the same error.

    Hmm, usually only happens when yuo don't run as admin

    Try going to the directory and create a notepad item named is-MFIN9.tmp and see if it'll write to it

    it changes the end bit the "is-MFIN9.tmp" everytime i run the setup

    Ah, check if the is-MFIN9.tmp file is in that directory, as it may be saying it can't create it but then it actually creates it for some reason, if you get what i'm saying.

    Check the /temp folder and make sure thats it not read only, there should be a blue square in the box.

    there is a blue square in the read only box. and no mfin9 isn't in that directory.

    Try disabling UAC just to check?

    Only last thing i'd suggest is to contact the company of the program that won't run, if every other program installs fine, which i'm assuming they do?
