Default Need some help on a beginner Layout and slicing.

Hey guys! Rise here, i need some help with my layout, I have been practicing and i got a few Habbo related layouts, but everytime that I save them as .PNG they get a bit bad, and i have seen a few people save them as PNG and upload them and there clear as day ( as in there not defected in any way).

-And tips on how to save a whole layout so it comes out nice? And a good uploading site

Next question, I want to slice my layouts, so I am able to post them up using (Freewebs) to show them off, and give them away to the community, but I got no idea how to slice, i got an idea what it means, but If anyone knowledgeable on slicing to give me advice what is best and *Easiest* to slice quick and fast, but look good, please share!

-Note, i need a free decent program for slicing, i heard paint is bad/hard.

    Hello,
When you do layouts with Paint, and save them as .png they get a bad quality.
    I'm not sure why.
But when you save the layout on any other programs such as Photoshop, it comes with great quality.

To code/slice layouts you'd need to get Photoshop/Fireworks. Basically a program with a slicing tool.
www.slicingguide.com is a great site for slicing layouts.

    Good luck!

You don't need Photoshop (although it's recommended) unless you're specifically needing generated code

You could easily get all the images with paint.

Lol Meti you don't just need to have Photoshop. If an image editing program has the slice tool you can use it. I do recommend Photoshop however as people have said Paint is a good option if you have it

I think slicing on photoshop sucks.

Fireworks is much easier to slice with imo.

However, PS does pwn fireworks in many other areas.

Also, my images are fine when I save as paint .png :S

Paint.NET is free, easy-to-use program that I think is quite good. Easier than photoshop for beginners imo.
