    Default Backing up DVDs

Hey I've been considering storing and backing up my DVD Collection and storing them all as ISOs on my computer. This should make them future-proof with computers in the future, provide good backup and also allows them to easily be burned to disks if need be.

My plan is to use ImgBurn to burn ISOs if need be and use Virtual CloneDrive as a virtual DVD Drive to mount the ISOs if I wish to watch them on the computer or convert them to other formats (avi or mp4).

Now the main thing is picking the software to save the ISOs from a disk so they're an exact replica, I tried using ImgBurn for this but it has issues with copyright protection so I imagine the likes of a DVD Decrypter and ISO Creator will be needed but this is hardly my fortae so can someone please recommend what they use. Thanks for all help and +rep if I can to useful replies.

Try AnyDVD or just rip an ISO with DVD Decrypter then burn it with ImgBurn

Stop after the ripping stage it you just want the raw DVD files. Continue if you wish to encode them. If DVD Decrypter gets stuck i have put some info/help at the bottom of my OP. RipIt4Me may help you.
