    Default DVD burning problems

Right, a little while ago I made an iso image of a dvd using magiciso maker. However it will not write it to another writeable dvd. The dvd is the right size but i'm just wondering if maybe it didn't rip properly or am i doing it wrong?

before it did it's little dance saying it was writing it but at the end it was still a blank dvd. I can't afford to waste these dvd's because they cost a fortune for double sided 8.5gb ones.

any ideas? I don't have the original dvd anymore, that was the reason i took an iso image from it.

You should've made the ISO in ImgBurn. But now you don't have the disk your screwed really.

The disk still shows as a blank dvd. I don't think either of the programs finalized it.

I was thinking this could be the case, it makes wierd clunking sounds a lot of the time. My pc is under warrenty for a couple of weeks but dell would want me to send the whole machine back instead of just replacing the part. Since my laptop is now useless and my mums pc keeps freezing I really cannot afford to not have a pc for up to 2 weeks.

When I burn audio CDs, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes is does, no idea why, I do the same thing to both CDs, but some work, some don't, it's werid, although I suggest you use a DVD-RW to learn to burn (By that I mean, so you can get it to work), this means you can test out differnt software and not waste DVDs, only use one RW.

Well this time i'm using another disk (same type) and its formatting it. Maybe that will help. I feel bad wasting disks cos these cost like £1 each.
