Default Core temps a bit high?

    Hey

I think these core temps are quite high for idle'ish load.

    What do you think?
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

They do seem quite high. Wait for the experts to log-on and tell you if that is a problem, as I'm not sure.

Yep, looking at them again, 70 degrees for a 23% load is terribly wrong. Somthing must not be working or somthing has happened. Wait til' Stephen or Nick or whatever their names are, get on. They are the experts in this area.

    Have you overclocked?
Is your heatsink sat on it properly?

Isn't it you whos computer case doesn't fit the motherboard so you left the mobo on top of case? could of moved something when you took it out.

I find core temp lies for me, but it actually say's they're way under what they actually are lol. Maybe your heatsink isn't properly seated.

Check what temps your BIOS says.

That's rather high, the maximum the Q8200 is supposed to go at is 72c, mine's usually around 40 - 50 when being used, max. it's been at is around 60ish.
