Default Buying Internet on the street

My mum came home today saying that she brought internet down this high street for a cheaper price, she said she brought sky broadband for 16pound a month, with all the channels etc..
The people are coming on Wednesday to install it..
But when I looked at the card it wasn't sky it was some cheap wannabe sky people, and had a mobile number and wasn't a proper buisness, he had an Indian name something like rafas mohammad lol!
Is this safe to do? Or has anyone else done this?

    I wouldn't risk this...
If she paid a deposit then shes been scammed.

Your mom, is she the sharpest crayon in the box?

Ring the number, see if you can get a confirmation and if you get nothing then you're buggeredd.

Credit Card is safe though, you're fully insured against scams when using a Credit Card which is always good, never know it might turn out to be real, if not a call to the Credit Card company/insurance will be needed

If she paid £100 or more she's covered, if not, she isn't

Just ring the credit card company, ask them to stop it
