    Default Partition software

    Best software/way of starting a new partition so I can install Vista along with XP?

    Disk Management (start, run, diskmgmt.msc) shrink volume then make a new partition from unallocated space.

    I didn't think they had this in XP, new they did in Vista.

    You can't do it in XP. Either download GParted (Urgh), Acronis Disk Director or Partition Magic 8

    Yeah I did realise that not long after I posted earlier.

    I'm now using Norton Magic Partition...

    Is that any good?

    Partition Magic is decent for XP, unfortunately doesn't work on Vista

    Even Vista's disk management is very limited in terms of features.

    Yeah but it does the basic job, I mean all you really need is the basics for partitions, nothing special?
