I left my PSP in my jacket pocket which went into the washing machine and I noticed after it was finished. I turned it on, worked for 5 seconds then turned off so am going to wait till it is fully dried and I hope it work atm am waiting for the soap to go. I hope my PSP can survive a full wash cycle.

I'd be guessing so. Did you make sure there wern't any light colors in the washing machine? You know, the colors might mix and all that.
