[Easter] My Easter Poem - Ends 18th April

Every Easter is the same, you wake up and open your easter eggs. Then you spend most of you day eating them, great for chocolate-lovers (like me!). However, recently the Easter Bunny has noticed the fact that there isn't much to do at Easter, except eating those eggs and going on egg hunts. At this point, he though up an amazing idea!

Why don't we get a bit more creative this Easter? Why don't we host a poem competition for the users of Habboxforum and that is exactly what he requested Mr-Trainor to do. Your task is to type up an Easter poem. In that poem you can include anything you like about Easter. It doesn't have to rhyme but try to make it at least 1 stanza (verse).

To enter this competition you must be a registered member of Habbox Forum. Habbox is giving all its members (not Habbox staff) the opportunity to enter competitions. An Easter poem by L.A.Walker

Hello all my friends back at home! It's me, Cheep N. Cheerful,
Flying so high above in this sky, the sights are so peaceful;
I fly around, I never walk, my stories you all have heard,
As ever, this is another letter entry written by a bird.

I write to you once again whilst in mid-flight,
For I've miles to keep taking on before my day turns to night;
I rest when the sun has set in the safest place I may find,
Another day I will rise again, and the sun will gleam in my mind.

I had to write to you dear folks, miles from home, all alone,
To let you know of an event which is transpiring down below;
The rabbits are trekking paths, I see little mini suitcases...
They must be going on holiday to far-away places.

The villages I sweep past are thriving with energy,
Especially the kids in windows I peep, opening boxes very quickly;
They carefully set the box aside, laying the item on their leg,
Unwrapping the colourful design to reveal a giant chocolate egg.

Every village I am drawn to by a mixture of smells,
Fresh hot cross buns and chocolate, followed by the sound of church bells;
This is more than just a few weeks off for children at their schools,
It is a time of celebration that a religious story fuels.

I won't bore you with the whole story, but what I did hear,
A man called Jesus rose from the dead in a bright light so clear;
The story is one which echoes through this season and many lives,
The parties are incredible, the lights at night as stunning as the sunrise.

I invite you, my dear folks at home, to join the celebrations,
For I will be back very soon with stories by the millions;
I hope you enjoyed this letter, I'll see you end of April, possibly May,
But I wish you a happy Spring time, and many smiles on Easter day.

Seven tiny nests of hay
We have made, for Easter day
Is tomorrow, and you know
We must have them ready, so
When the Rabbit comes she'll see
We expected her, that we
Children tried our very best

One is in the lilac bush,
Near the ground - last year a thrush
Built a nest there - let me see,
Two are by the apple tree,
In the clover - that makes three -
One beside the playhouse door,
- Three plus one, that must be four -
Two are in the tulip bed -

Oh, yes! six I've counted, and
One is in our pile of sand.

Come and see! Oh, hurry, hurry!
For the Rabbit, kind and furry,
Has been here again and laid
Eggs in every nest we made!
Purple, orange, red, and blue,
Pink and green and yellow, too,

Hyper kids what a pain,
Scrummy chocolate for all to eat

Spring time is easter for all
But no event in the fall
but easter is really great

because too much chocolate makes you lazy

It was Easter Day and I was lying in wait.
For the Easter Bunny to come face his fate.
He hopped along the road carrying a basket of Eggs.
I pulled out my rifle and shot off his legs.
"My brother died because of you, you son of a b***h"
That's when I blasted his body down into the ditch.

For the year before he had come to our door.
And a single egg he had dropped on the floor.
Consumed by my brother it caused him to have a fit.
He was lactose intolerant and died as he ate it.
But now vengence is sowed as the Bunny is dead.
Lying still in a ditch and peppered with lead.

(Sorry if this is a bit morbid but whatever, I like it!)
