The original Wicker Man is a classic horror film. Also, I personally don't like it, but you might want to check out The Shining if you haven't already. A lot of human emotion and fear in those.

Never use Rec. and The Blair Witch Project in the same sentence. Blair Witch is a horrible rip-off of The Last Broadcast, and did not "invent" the cinema verite style of cinematography as many seem to think.

I don't understand what you mean by "real" horror films. If you are after torture, watch Asian horror, like Korishiya 1, or if you only like mainstream pictures, the Hostel series, SAW. However, f you are on about snuff films, they don't exist. Just an urban legend.

is [REC] any good? I've downloaded it anyway. And as for snuff films, there must be some sickos who record the torture rape and murder of their victems? Do you not think?

Noo, Misawa said snuff films are an urban legend. So I'm saying there must be some sickos who produce them. Has anyone seen 8MM? That's about snuff films, some sick stuff it is.

Snuff films do exist but don't go looking for them, you'll get yourself into legal trouble if caught and frankly there's no reason to want to see that sort of thing anyway ;| watching sick things doesn't make you cool, contrary to popular 14 year old belief.

There are many videos of people being murdered, take the Taliban for example, but these do not count as snuff films. The urban legend relates specifically to snuff in its exact definiton. Perse, they don't exist. Videos of the dead and dying, terrorist acts, etc, which are sprawled all over the net, aren't snuff. You can find plenty of fakes though.
