This criminal defence attorney, I think he's no longer one but anyway, he goes into detail as to why you should never talk to the police. He gives reasons as to why even if you're innocent, tell nothing but the truth and reveal nothing incriminating and your entire time beng interviewed with the police (questions asked and answered) is videotaped you can still be done over in court because of it. Here's the video, it's quite long but interesting, you should watch it;

I found it interesting having been in a situation myself where whether or not I talked to the police could have resulted in a better outcome for me. Me and about 4 other guys were out 'doing graffiti' one night, about 3AM ish, when this car turns the corner onto the road we are on. Me and another guy are up in front and he suggests it might be a police car, turns out it is so we brick it but don't run (should definately have run). But we weren't that stupid, the guy I was with threw his bag into a garden as we walked back to the police car and I proceeded to dump all the stuff in my bag into the grass of the same garden, we both had cans of paint so you can see why. Anyway when we got down to the car the guy said to me 'Do you have anything in your bag? To which I replied no, hoping that there was nothing left inside, he searched it and to my relief there wasn't. Anyway rest is history but thinking back if there had been anything in my bag and I had said there wasn't I'd have been ****** although he would still have evidence against me he wouldn't have the fact that I lied, albeit unknowingly. That being said I don't know if such a law exists in the UK where you can legally deny saying anything at all because it might incriminate yourself, a right to remain silent so to speak.
Please don't move this to the 'Videos, Jokes and Funny Stuff" forum because I can't see it as a funny video and feel it is more up for discussion rather than comments consisting of 'LOOOOOL'.
