Is there a way you can get google to text you anytime you get an email for free?

What phone do you have? it may be possible to set up your email on your phone and set it so you receive push notifications when you receive an e-mail/

Some phone carriers let you receive SMS messages via email (for example <your number>@<carrier name>.com). You could set up mail forwarding to this email address, which would subsequently be sent to your phone as a SMS message.
