    Well we got our's from a pet shop And like 2 of them were sick when we got them, But if you trust the people at a home who are selling them, Get it from them, because less cats will be there therfor less chance of getting ill

    'cept the fact he's bent

    We got our first cat from this chavvy estate for like a huge amount of money. It was horrific she had like 20+ cats, not kidding and about 4/5 big dogs it was horrible. The cat we got had worms, fleas and ear mites. It was disgusting. So we bought her because she was super cute and we felt so sorry for the animals.

    We got our second cat from a rescue agency sort of thing. A lovely old lady looked after her and she was in great condition. She was really shy for ages but we've had her for like 3 years now and she's so lovely. Purrs so loudly and shes really happy, she never scratches as well. Well, apart from the sofa

    I think its just a personal choice but be sure to fully research the pet shop if you chose a pet shop and be careful about what you choose. The chances that if it's cheap it will probably be very expensive at the vets.

    pets at home aren't really that 'personal' and look after their pets how they are told to, and provide similar customer service. get them from a small independent pet shop where you will recieve a more personal service and probably a better treatment of the cats.

    it's likely to have the runs when you get it due to the food changes.

    i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!

    I got my first two cats when I was about 4 from my late-grandma. She told us that she found a cardboard box by her car when she came out from work. She opened the box and two little ginger kittens were in it. She brought them straight up to us and I named them Thomas and Percy (Thomas the Tank Engine, I was 4.. geddit?).

    Percy died when I was 8 or so, but I still have Thomas.

    I would really encourage you to visit your local animal shelter and see what they have to offer. If you're someone like us - we'd be looking for a specific colour cat with a good attitude and as young as possible so you can see it through it's whole life. At the end of the day, it's up to you where you get your cat from.

    I have 3 cats, here is a list of them in order of age;

    1. Sandy - Male, 13 years old, Siamese.
    2. Suki - Female, about 4-5 years old, same type of cat as Tom off Tom & Jerry.
    3. Jessie - Male, about 6-7 years, enjoys lounging around, scavaging food from neighbours (we feed him, he just prefers neighbours food?)
