Alright, so ive looked at a few tutorials and really, ive come up with this.



If you like, I can send you the .psd or upload a .rar with the psd inside.

NOTE: It is my first so all constructive criticism is appreciated.

EDIT: Ive even tidied up all the layers into nice little groups so you can change stuff easily.

That's an absoloutely fantastic layout to add some Web 2.0 stuff too, get some of those fading on mouseover buttons, perhaps a rotating site banner with a 1px border.

Fade the top box out a bit ("Site Banner") it just looks like a blob shoved no where. Make it bigger, in general. I'm not even sure if 800 x 600 is that small but hey no one uses that anymore anyway.

Just make it bigger... and make the font size smaller... and fade the boxes a bit so they look like they're supposed to be there.

Then you may have a decent layout.

I didnt follow any tutorial for this layout? I used ideas from tutorials I have seen (the gradient, etcetera)

Also, for the bigger layout - It was photobucket reducing the size so ill put it on another host (I chose uploadpicz and it seems to be working)

Scrap the layout. You can't improve that.

The fonts are horrible and way too big. What the hell is that flower brush doing there? It clashes with the colours you have chosen to use.

I agree. Seeing that bigger version just made me want to stab it multiple times with a compass.
