I have a contract so i can get any phone i want i was planning to get the
N96 but apparently they are overpriced and not decent at the moment im favoured to the blackberry storm

Don't get the Blackberry Storm. Seriously, it is an epic failure.

Check out the LG Arena, Samsung Tocco Ultra and some of the latest HTC phones (I think the Touch Pro 2 will be coming out soon). The Palm Pre will be released here, but likely not until Q4.

Do NOT get the N96, my mum had one and it was a slow as pouring ketchup from a glass bottle. If anything wait another month and get the N97.

Google it, you won't be disappointed.

If you want a smartphone then I'd say wait until July and get the new iPhone (If its announced) or wait until the end of the year and get a Palm Pre.

o2s iPhone exclusivity is due to expire in July apparently and considering the Palm Pre is going onto o2 aswell its likely that it won't be renewed and the new iPhone will be on multiple networks . This is of course all based off of speculation but the speculation about the iPhone always seems to end up being right.

The iPhone will be on o2 I can assure you, although their will always be an unlock for the iPhone down the line somewhere.
