    Default Farewell

I've decided to leave these forums after nearly three years. I only visit here anyway to use the Movies forum, which had me posting in a few others, but now it has been merged with TV, I've been put off. It is not solely that reason though, I just feel out of place being older than most users of this forum, as some of the immaturity on display here is just totally overwhelming. Kids are kids, but some people are outright sickening. Take Michael Jackson's death as an example, sure, his name is a controversial subject if you're naive, and I accept that, but to see some users uttering jokes and images is, in my view, disgusting and thoughtless. Do they give a damn about the family and close friends? I've seen more than enough death for a lifetime, I was a forensic photographer for a period of six months; I've seen things I wouldn't wish anyone to see, including the faces of family members at the scenes of their loved ones' deaths. I'm sure people will whine at me for mentioning Michael Jackson, but that's just a recent example of some of the trash there is on this forum. It's truly disturbing. I'm not overreacting, I'm genuinely shocked at what comes out of some kids' fingertips.

For those of you who aren't senseless and thoughtless and have maturity in your youth, good for you. Really.

I also believe this place to be run in the complete opposite direction of where it should be, but I won't go into that. Regardless, the above are the main reasons for my leave, so I'll conclude by saying thanks to those who have given me meaningful discussion and conversation, and have supported my film projects, etc, over the last three years. I appreciate it.

If you'd like to keep up with me and/or my work, you can follow me on Twitter; the link is in my signature. You can also PM me if you'd like to share contact details.

Remember to check out Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious *******s on August 21.

Take care, and may your life enjoy fulfillment.

Chances are high im older than you, and i've been here quite a bit longer. You missed the good old days, and personally i think habbox is actually starting to get back on track compared to the middle period, so i disagree the forums going in the wrong direction.

Equally, yea people are joking about Michael Jackson's death, so what? Thousands of other people died today(or yesterday now) as well. The great majority of them likely being far nicer and generally better people than him, a great number of them were likely children. Thoughtless in my mind is what it takes to morn a celebrity death more than the rest, simply because you've heard of him. So i wouldn't be so quick to point the finger at those who use humour to lift the spirits of others, while defending those who are instead focused on moping and morning someone they never even knew.
    But thats just me.

Good luck in whatever you plan to get up to next and bye

Yes, an uncomprable amount of men, women and children died today, I know that all too well. As I wrote above, Michael Jackon was merely an example. People making jokes out of deaths is unacceptable and in extremely poor taste. I find your post pretty contradictory. Oh well.

    1. Jeremy 1129 up, 295 downA named based on the biblical name Jeremiah. Used as a name for children who are blessed with a large brain and/or penis. Also used as a replacement for "perfect".
We had a child and it had a very large penis so we named it Jeremy.
