What's the little 1 on a gold background in the top right for? :S

i've wondered this, i think it's something to do with an event being held in the room? not sure though

I just created an event in one of my rooms and one didnt appear so it can't be that

It does mean an event, because the thing you see with the '1' is an event, not a room. When you create an event, it gets moved to a separate place in the navagator.
