ok. why's it gone like that?

it happens when the screen has been closed for a prolonged amount of time..

the lines appear until the screen is bright white, it used to happen but then stopped. it's doing it again and it's rly annoiyng :@

it's now not showing anything on the screen, i can hear it logging in but it's not showing anything. i don't know if a vga screen will work - will try tonight.

Have you tried finding some update to your drivers?

they're up to date, but i cant access the computer now lol... it's still not working.
i read somewhere to take the battery out and leave it for a while to make it work.

i might try downgrading the drivers because it worked ok before i updated them back in lyk... september

can't edit, it seems to be working now, but still, don't want it to happen again!!

if it happens again, try taking the battery out, holding the power button for 30 seconds to 1 minute, and put the battery back in and try booting up.

Seeing as you've got it working, update your graphics drivers while you can.

HP laptops are weird, is yours the modle that you can use as a drawing tablet aswell?

just turn it off take the battery out leave it for a minute and put it back in. SIMPLE
