    Default Last Top Gear, ever?

Anyone else see the ending to tonight's Top Gear. It's left me baffled. Although was a very good episode.

Thats a good point, but, the ending is slightly confusing, unless it was like a tribute to Aston Martin's or fast cars everywhere.

They said at the news part that it's the last of the series but we be back in November.
Read in newspapers it'll be on in November cause today Lewis Hamilton was going to be the star in reasonably priced car but cause the track was wet and wanted LH to 'own' everyone on a dry track they changed it to Jay Leno.

It's abit like when on Nevermind the Buzzcocks, they made out Simon Amstell died, so was going to be the end of the series but you would of heard on the news that he died So obv there was going to be another series and there was a few months later

I was left baffled watching it too but if you turn it all over in your head it makes sense. During that end, Jeremy does explain that the end is near for mental fast cars like that new Aston, so this "test" was in a way, a tribute towards cars such as the new Vantage, hence the shots of th pictures of fast cars. Jeremy's emotional way in which he said goodbye can only hint at, and I'm guessing, his belief in his theory of dying supercars is genuine, and for someone as obsessed with fast cars as him, it's no wander he was on a downer towards the end.
Also a quick Shazam on the music brought up the song to be Brian Eno's "An Ending" summing it up nicely.

As for "the last top gear ever", I doubt this will be anytime soon. Top Gear is one of the most successful Beeb shows of all time and in these times of economic difficulty, i doubt the BBC can afford to cancel Top Gear.

The BBC is funded by the taxpayer, believe me if it was private it certainly wouldn't be able to pay people like Jonathan Ross six million+. - As for Top Gear its a good show, I am not interested in cars but I like Top Gear.
