    Default 2 PHP scripts.

    Hello; I'm producing a website. I'm in the need of two scripts:

    1. that can display the item description of the most recent RSS post. I'm coding a website for myself and I'd love to show my most recent tweet on my site. (If there's a different thing to display your last tweet, please!)

    If it takes time to configure, there's 2 feeds I'd like (with seperate scripts for either, they're for different sites).

    If it's the RSS displayer; I've used Yahoo Pipes to format my twitter RSS to a form where the item description is perfect. I'd love it to only display the item description.
    I'd love to display MY most recent tweets on my personal website;
    http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.ru...rname=boonzeet
    and on my Pokémon site; I'd love to display my development twitters most recent tweets;
    http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.ru...ername=pokedev

    2. a free; or cheap news system. Similar to CuteNews I guess.

    They don't necessarily have to be PHP, (though it's preferred, I want spiders to crawl.)

    Thanks;
    Boon

    The latest tweet can be done using the Twitter API, a simple google should fix that one.

    News systems you have wordpress, thats an entire Content management system [Joomla, Mambo and the likes] or you could use Cutenews and im sure there are plenty more.

    Google if your best friend Bud

    Well if you're making your own website.. code your own scripts. It's the logical route.

    1: Learn how to parse XML (RSS is valid XML), it's easy from there.

    2: Overall, very easy. PHP + 'flat files' or MySQL.

    If you don't want to code your own...

    1: Google "PHP RSS parser"

    2: Cutenews still around? Fusion news?

    Thanks, I've switched to WordPress though.

    Does anyone know of a free RSS displayer? I've been googling for hours.

    yeah, i've checked Last RSS, it's not quite what I want, I've been trying to make it only display the Item Description and can't.

    Oh well; lol. I'll try find some Wordpress widgets.
