Rite, I like the current reputation system, but I find it a bit harsh and useless for people who have only a very small amount of reputation, cause if someone with 10+ rep -reps them, they're screwed. If someone with small rep tries to -rep someone with a bigger reputation count, then it doesn't effect them at all, I don't know about you lot but that seems a tad unfair.
Many forums I go on use this form of 'reputation' system, but instead they use the 'Thanks' system, like this (ignore the post):
On the forums I use this is really good, it's good for all members, and isn't bias towards newer members of the forum. This also gives people good reputation, because if they're helpful, polite, and what not, they will have a good 'Thanks' count, like so:
Just a suggestion, I like the current rep system, but it's a little bit flawed for newer members, IMO.
EDIT: If it is possible to implement this in specific forums (instead of the whole forum), e.g. Technology, Sports, and what not, then I think it would be a big improvement, on the current system.
