You need to get your hosts to add them variables, I think.
As above, although this is also a PHP 4 related issue. This issue can be solved by using a PHP 5 hosting service (or ask your host to upgrade).

Theres a option in config.php about this, you can choose false and it will allow you to have those features de-activated.
or you could contact your host.
I hope you can find a fix to this problem.
