Just watched it thanks to a mate lending it me. It is amazing. The character of the Joker is just so spot on, brilliant acting, brilliant script, just amazing. Don't get the end that much, it gets too complicated for a super-hero film but altogether the action, along with the amazing Joker character is brilliant. Just thought I'd post on it. Its amazing. Did you like this film?

Yes, it's very good, but after a few viewings, it became clear to me that it is tremendously overrated. One of the most overrated films of all time. Ledger plays a great Joker, and deserved his Supporting Actor nomination, but Bale is just horrible, the worst Batman by far. It has a lot of great elements to it, but I still prefer the true Batman pictures; Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns.

Oh yeah, since when did Batman get punched in the throat y'know? Yeah that was terrible. The Joker has always been my favourite character ever since I first saw it when I was little with Jack Nicholson (I've probably spelt his surname wrong, soz), he was good, but yeah, Ledger did play a good role, and Michael Cain... ITS MICHAEL CAINE, so no fault there, but yes, the Batman himself? Terrible.

On the contrary, I think Michael Caine's a terrible actor. I'm glad they gave him a small role. He can only play the cockney, that's all he can do, nothing else. Have you ever seen him play an American? He just speaks with his regular accent.

Um no I haven't, what film does he play an American and I'll watch it later, but I can imagine what you mean.

He's probably played an "American" in various films, but one I saw recently was On Deadly Ground, starring and directed by Steven Seagal.

Agreed. I got bored on the second viewing.

Come on, it's Michael Caine though!!!! I also loved that Morgan Freeman was in it. I love his characters - always the ethical, friendly type .

I really disagree when people say the Dark Knight is overrated. I never watch anything more than once (not until a couple years later anyway) but I watched this twice at cinemas within a couple weeks and loved it as much the second time.

To be honest I don't think much of Christian Bale anyway, but I didn't see what was so bad about him here?

He sucks, I'm sorry! Morgan Freeman is great in everything he does, and is a key element in why the greatest film of all time is the greatest film of all time.

As Bruce Wayne, Bale was fine. I'm not knocking his ability as a performer in general - the man can act, and act well - but this is Batman, and when playing THE BATMAN (!), he brings nothing to the table but a rediculous voice. They could have at least chosen an actor without a lisp to make it seem more realistic that no one could tell he was Bruce
