I daught his alive, Soap would be with him by now (price would be leader instead). It's probley a flashback or one of those fable 2 things when sparrow gets shot and gets to play with his dead sister again.

Yes but Price could be on another mission or could be disabled so can only do tech stuff or something.

My guess: a flashback mission on what happened straight after COD4, he's captured by Makarov and Soap is told to compromise by his superiors. He and Roach infilitrate the safehouse and save Price, but not before they discover the true plot. The invasion of Washington.

I imagine the game having hours of build-up to the Washington fighting, and maybe finishing with Makorov in the white house. He kills Soap and injures you, but not before Obama slips you a pistol.
