    Default Windows 7 [HELP]

There is a Windows 7 90 Day trial, I'm interested in on the Microsoft Site as I'm considering wether or not to switch from Vista.

If I downloaded it would my Vista files be transferred?

Are you just saying it's bad or have you actually tried it? which is on a PC that is Vista capable?

Also to answer your question, As of Vista, there was a feature introduced which puts your old install into a folder called "windows.old" where your documents and settings etc are saved.

Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

If you start the install from within windows then it will perform an in-place upgrade.

I recommend upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista, well worth it.
