To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Everyone goes through hard times in their lives, and sometimes the pain may seem unbearable but one needs to be stronger and bear it through. Getting over something so large is hard to do without the help of others. Don't be afraid to open up to friends and family, these people who love you and would want to help you through a hard time. Suicide is not the way out.

Some facts:
● Every year, almost one million people die from suicide; a "global" mortality rate of 16 per 100,000, or one death every 40 seconds.
● In the last 45 years suicide rates have increased by 60% worldwide.
● Suicide is among the three leading causes of death among those aged 15-44 years in some countries, and the second leading cause of death in the 10-24 years age group; these figures do not include suicide attempts which are up to 20 times more frequent than completed suicide.

kinda waste posting it here though, an american based charity on an english website. although what they've done and are trying to do is goo and the bands within the organization are very good, this thread seems a little wasted.
