    Question Banned on a forum

About 4-5 months ago I was banned from a forum, I'll tell you the story in a minute, do you think this is fair. IP ban as well. Luckily I got a new laptop but I changed to habbox then.

It was a weekend, and I heard a rumour about a certain member of the fansites staff was over 20, I thought this was "strange", as habbo is after all A "Hang-Out For Teens". So I asked on the forum of the fansite if the rumour was true, then I got a load of "hate mail" in my inbox, saying "No it's not true stop insulting mates." The insulting bit got me, I never meant to cause offence and the person who I asked about said "Don't worry about it, I know you didn't mean it." But then an admin said it was his mate, and then Perm IP banned me. Does anyone think that's fair. I don't know if it was for this reason, but my ban said "Causing multiple arguments, don't come back." I knew who banned me becuse of one of his posts.

I don't think IP bans should be allowed but that didn't bother me, fair enough if the person was crying rivers over it but as I said, he was fine about it, but admins always think the worst of people for some reason.

Being over 20 on a habbo forum isn't strange.

Yea, what's so strange about that? :S

There are plenty of over 20's that use this forum; but for other sections/categories.

To be fair, you caused arguments by going into detail when there was no need. A permanent ban probably wasn't necissary but I (and I don't think anybody else saw) didn't see what was posted. Just gotta' bite your lip on this one mate, by the sounds of stuff you've been permed because you ''messed with his mate'' and he didn't like it.

Good luck getting back on anyways, I suppose.

Did you have cold, hard proof of this?
Either way, you shouldn't go throwing around accusations if there's no need.

I know many people that go on Habbo and are over 20. Habbo isn't all just about the kiddy stuff roleplays and stuff, people actually do make good friends on there, and I don't see anything wrong with people over 20 going on there. It's not "that" childish really, it just seems that way because the main userbase are younger kids who enjoy getting "E-married" or whatever.

Quite a lot of the people who use casino's are quite old too, Habbo can be what you want it to be, and if used as a "room building" game, or for betting/dealing/talking to friends then I don't see what's wrong with over 20's using it.

Doug, you are the perfect example of people I think are acceptable, every now and then. This person, was about 25 and going on habbo everyday, and I have nothing against going on a habbo forum, because its not fully habbo. MSN and facebook and bebo and twitter are made for older people to be able to chat, with mates, perverts go on habbo thats the bit that freaked me out. He's old enough to have kids.

One of the owners of Habbox is over 20. The second one is quite old too.

Habbo is aimed at teenagers but that doesn't mean over 20's cant go on.
