Rare Value Desk

I (and ben ) think this should be closed tbh.

The desk has been opened for a few months, in the last liek 2 months it's been active twice, once was the RV Quiz on 3rd of Jan and the other was last week when a few of us went in due to values being inaccurate.

Imho (linking to my suggestion on page 3 of my [HxHD] thread) the rare values staff should set down a specific night where they will come to HxHD, so for example every second wednesday, on that night they can host a quiz and stay for a few hours answering any questions users have about rare values

This would be better as the current desk is completely inactive and it defeats the purpose of there being an official help desk in the first place if other departments are making their own

As scott said, i totally agree with this. I think rare values are established enough on habbo to need anymore promotion. The rv desk has been pretty much empty since it's been open and I don't see the point in it. Why clone a dept that is made for a desk? All seems stupid to me.

Agreed, it is not needed because I never actually see it busy, with staff or not in there. If anything, the staff should simply say what they think in the HxHD in the public area, nothing else is needed. There is no point at all with it and it quite frankly, stupid to keep open.

I agree with this. No RV staff has been going in their recently, so there's no need for a rv desk if isn't being used for things. Personally, I don't even know why the department needs a desk. I'll direct Rares Value Management to this thread.

While I think this is a case of 'close it because anything regarding Habbox should be based at HxHD' indeed the Desk has been empty and thats why me and Elle have just spoken thanks to this thread and we'll be changing it into a weekly thing, say every Wednesday at a certain time for an hour or so where we can answer questions/discussions and so on. It'll be held in the former desk room and we'll change announcements concerning the Desk on the site now. We wish to keep it in a seperate room because we feel the atmosphere in HxHD is not suitable for this to go ahead there and more to the point, theres nothing wrong with having a seperate desk especially when Help and Values are totally differing things.

The fact of the HELP desk is to help in all areas of habbox, including rare values so i don't see why rv dept can't go into hxhd for set time per week?

Having a different desk to be active for 1 hour a week is just pointless when it could be done in HxHD, the room for helping habbos in...

The fact the desk has a hidious layout doesn't help.

But i've never seen the use in the rare values desk anyways, hey why not have a forum mod desk, competition desk, news desk, content designer desk, coders desk, etc, they'd all serve a purpose :rolleyes:

I've never agree'd with other depts having they're own desk when HxHD is there which is meant to be the help desk not a bunch of different help desks for one website.
