    Post HC sofa report :)

HC sofas have recently gone down in price a lot. The main reason to me seems to be the recession in the real world, because of the recession people aren’t buying credits and people who want to sell the HC’s are selling them at what ever price they can get. On my friends list many people keep sending out messages, saying along the lines of “Selling HC’s 8 credits” and sometimes more or less. I’ve seen many people say that they’ve bought 2 for 16 credits, they used to be 14 credits for 1, so that surprises me quite a bit. Personally when I sold my only HC sofa, I sold it for 14 credits around 7 months ago. Since then the value of furni has dropped substantially. About 2 months ago I sold a Throne Sofa for 15 credits, now I think I’d struggle to sell it for 10. Recently, I’ve seen people going into Trade City and rooms like that selling lots of HC’s at one time rather than selling them 1 at a time. This could be for a lot of reasons, 1. Because they might need to sell them quick & they don’t think they’ll won’t be able to sell them later in the day or week. Or 2. They just might want to get credits quick and will sell them at a low rate to get the credits they need. But I still think HC’s should stay at the same price, because for people like me and poorer habbo’s can have HC’s rather than it be the richer habbo’s who have the good furni. And it means that richer habbo’s can buy more. Although for people who sell HC’s are going to hate what I’m saying, I think it could possibly help them in the long-run. But it could also hold them back, because people might say “I’m not buying that for 14 credits, when I bought 2 for 14 credits 3 months ago.” But it depends how dramatically the economy of habbo changes.

Since I had no solid evidence that people were selling HC’s at very low prices everywhere I decided to do some research. I went to T R A D E . V O L C A N O owned by SIMON1234, and there was about 3 people selling HC’s for 7 credits, that was all at the same time, and I only had to walk into the room to find out this information. Maybe if you wanted to do the “experiment” yourself you could easily do it by going to a trade room and seeing how much people are selling them for, remember the lower the price the better, and maybe you could buy a HC yourself.

There’s not really a definitive answer to the question, why is the price of the HC going down?, because other rares haven’t really gone down that much. It’s only HC’s really. Could the reason be our own greed, maybe. Because of the amount of HC’s in circulation they’re going down in price, like anything really, that’s the stupid thing about rares, the more people that buy that 1 rare, the price will go down, and that’s the worrying thing, if the price of HC’s keeps going down in a couple of years you could go to any trade shop and say “How much for HC Sofa?” and they might reply “4 creds.” Personally the thought gets me wondering, how long might it be until that day comes.

Thank you for reading my report on HC sofa prices, please give me your opinions on the matter, and please don’t tell me I’m completely wrong, it was just my personal opinion thanks

Since you get a HC sofa for any new character buying HC club, the number of HCs is always increasing, meaning ultimately, the price can only go down. Although it won't go that far down.

I agree with you to a point.

However, I don't think HC's are going down because of the recession, this shouldn't affect HC prices at all because Habbo themselves made the credit's you receive per £3 go down, hense less people buying them meaning less credits.
People are wanting more and more credits instead, as they have seen a lot of HC's and other furni begin to go for less and now people in shop's no longer want HC's for their rares they want credits.
Habbo themselves should do something to provide a few credits to everyone to make sure a shortage doesn't come.

When people get to choose their HC gift they will choose things like, throne sofa's, butlers and majestics based on the fact that these can sell for more than a HC sofa can. On the other hand, whenever people buy HC for the first time another HC get's brought into the hotel meaning there is a never ending loop for HC sofa's and hense people no longer wnat to buy them. However, if HC's stop coming in the hotel every day then the demand for them may go up as they become less popular and may eventually increase in price.

Anyhow, your opinion can't be judged and it can't be right or wrong at the moment, you base your opinion on what you find and you are right to do that.

I am a fan of HC sofa's I haven't seen them selling for 7 creds a lot today, someone tried to buy mine today for 6 credits but I was having none of it. HC's can make more than 7 credits, but people see Habbox as the law which it isn't it is only a guide but people swear by it and feel forced to pay 'the' Habbox price.

I may have just gone on and on but some of what I put is fact and opinion I hope you read. Thanks

And something I missed out, habbo used to give out 5 credits at special occasions, like 3 times a year, I think it helped a lot but recently habbo haven't done it because people with like 5 accounts just send it to their main account. I actually really enjoyed reading that little report iPoster +rep

It doesn't take a ******* genius to know why credits went up in value./ And no it was not because of the ******* recession. Whoever put that into your head, I would go shout at them

It's MARKETPLACE. You could get 14c per hc up until that was released. It is MARKETPLACE that has done that not the bloody recession. I mean isn't that obvious (even to noobs..)

The recession has had a slight difference, people have told me they've stopped buyin creds because they can't afford to buy credits and because the ammount of credits has gone down. But anyway thanks for feedback

Maybe so, but that has not, to date, affected the value. Fact.

Well a lot of people are blaming Puhekupla..

As a few weeks back they posted about R45.

and the option for Habbo Club members to choose which furni they wanted..

So they thourght the value would drop anyway.

But what we meant by this post is that you need to COLLECT your furniture, not pick what you want..

Never. Hcs went down to 10-12 way before marketplace came.
