When I was growing up I used to be friends with this boy named Raymond. From the day I met him I knew he was a gentle and harmless boy. He had a physiological disability, nothing severe at all. He was just kind of slow, but he had a huge heart.
Throughout Grades 1-5 he struggled because kids used to anger him and make fun of him, plus the teachers could have been nicer to him. He was raised in a loving family and his parents loved him to death, especially his dad. I used to go over to Raymonds house and we used to play everything possible, but I remember that Raymond had a passion for guns and war. He was just fascinated in the concept of weaponry.
His father cared a lot for him, as well as his mother. Ray (his dad) used to harp on Raymond to get things done. It seemed as though his dad didnt like him, but he cared for him more then anything.
Around the age of 11 Raymond moved to the bigger city of Victoria, about 15 minutes away from my neighbourhood. He added me on Facebook around a year ago.
In physics class I found out from a friend who also knew Raymond that he stabbed him Father to death, Ray. I did not believe this. Raymond was such a nice boy and I would have never thought that something so terrible would happen to this welcoming family.
According to the news article (which i will post at the end of the paragraph) Raymond and his dad didnt have a very good relationship. But i remember that Ray cared for his son more then anything and looked out for him and taught him everything he knew. It is a shame that things like this happen. I am sure that Raymond regrets this and feels nothing but guilt and udder sadness.
Anyways, I know that Raymond loved his dad. They used to have so much fun together. Writing this brings me to tears but I feel that it is only best for me to express my thoughts. Sorry to bring such a depressing topic to the forum but I just want everyone to appreciate what they have been given and to think before you act, even if your instinct is telling you otherwise.
