People moan when we don't advertise things, people moan when we do. I think the notices look quite nice, and all you have to do is click "dismiss" and then it won't show up again until it gets updated.

It takes one click to get rid of them, we are not going to stop doing something which provides a majority of members who want to find out about how they can win such prizes because you can't be bothered to click the dismiss button

Although I do think the announcements should be in the Community Notice Board rather than the Habbox Announcements as it's a competition/event and that's where they go. The important announcements like staff applications opening etc need to go in that Habbox Announcement forum.
