Well they had an image uploader but they realised it takes up way too much space and resources and wasnt worth it.
An idea is to integrate tinypic with the forum. Someone made an addon for it and can be found on vBulletin.org

The costs of running an extra sites, all the time moderating it to make sure theres no inapropriate images etc. When you can just go on another uploader site? seems lazy imo
