Infraction/Warning idea?

Why not remove some rep points as a punishment for getting an infraction/warning? Like 100 for a infraction, 50 for a warning, could stop people from getting them a lil more? cus however plp say they dnt care about rep if they lost 100 points they could care and plp getting weekly infractions would see there rep fall away and hopefully stop them?

I don't like this idea sorry. I think that most of the people who break the rules aren't the type that care about rep and it's not really much of a punishment. I think it's fine the way it is.

I used to love my rep like hell and i certainly know alot of da spam crew and older members who like to break rules like there rep as it makes them feel above everyone :L

Infractions are for rule breaking. However of course for reputation rule breaking deduction of rep points should always be considered.

I think this is a stupid idea. That's like deducting someones post count, rep points are almost like an 'achievement'. At the end of the day rep doesn't really bother me. Most of the people i know in spam wouldn't give two flying ***** either and if they did bother about forum 'achievements' they wouldn't be posting in spam, they would be posting somewhere else on the forum to get their post count up to get more rep points.
