I know some of you here are knowledgeable so just asking for some help.

My internet has been really slow recently, and has been recognisable in even loading webpages. I play halo and it's been red bar everytime and kicking me out.

I went on speed test and I have 19.6 mb download, 0.72 mb upload and 26ms ping. Anyone know how I can make it better? I'm thinking of giving virgin a ring on Monday and seeing if anythings up, 'cause it's never been like this. Been like it for a week now.

I'm with Eircom and I experienced the same problem for a week or so, so I contacted them and they said they were updating power lines to improve quality (or something weird) and a week after that my internet was zooming along, I dunno if that's what virgin is doing but you should definitely give them a ring.

    20mb? I'd say that's pretty fast.

I assume you've rebooted your router?

19.6mb download isnt exactly bad, LOL. XD I'm sure upload should roughly be the same as download? :S I do not see how that's a red bar anyway considering they're both enough to play a decent game (I think).

Considering the UK average is 2-5..19mb isn't bad..

i think you're all missing the point. He knows 19mb is good but the fact hes getting red bars on halo for example, is confusing him since it says his internet is fine.

    however i have no clue.

The red bars are your ping, MS could be having problems, your exchange could be having problems, Virgin themselves could be having problems, you could be having problems.

    Give Virgin a ring.

You serious? I'm with Virgin and it's the worst thing ever, when you phone up they just keep on going in circles for about 50 minutes and you end up with one massive phone bill. :/
Anyway, I had this the other week, slow internet etc... Infact I still have it, might do some things to speed it up later,... (I have no idea what to do)
