Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has proved a sweet success with film fans, topping the UK box office chart.
The film - starring Johnny Depp as chocolate maker Willy Wonka - sold £7.97m of tickets during its first weekend in UK cinemas.
Two weeks ago the film also enjoyed a big opening weekend in the US, taking $55.4m (£31.6m).
Another childrens' film, Madagascar, also did well in the UK, as the second most popular film here.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is based on a book written by Roald Dahl and has been made into a film before, then called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The new version has been a big success around the world too, taking around $150.7m (£84.9m) since it debuted in the US.
