    Default Buying new computer

    My friend needs a new computer, but it HAS to be from Amazon UK and have a copy of windows (preferably not vista) pre-installed.

    Budget ~ £400-450

    So far this is the best I've found: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pavilion-Pro...d_sim_sbs_ce_6

    Any thoughts? I assume this is quad core (hence the X4)? Can anyone find a better spec for that price range?

    Thanks and +rep if useful.

    Just had a look and you've picked the best one there

    This one is identical but has a slightly bigger HDD, probably not worth it for the extra £30 though;

    If he's OK with on-board graphics, go with it. If he isn't, you can get a decent graphics card for under £100

    The one Jordy linked to isn't sold by Amazon, it's just listed on there.
