Default Making a forum skin, what size does it gotta be?

Title pretty much says it all, I am gonna attempt to make a Forum skin and was wondering how big is it supposed to be? Any rules I need to follow, for it to be coded?

Depends on your target audience really. A forum for a gaming or technology community are more likely to have larger monitors so you can have a larger size (generally speaking). Habbo fansites tend to have younger audiences who have smaller monitors, again just generalising. I personally tend to go for fluid, the Habbox Forum ones range from about 80-75% if I remember rightly. If they are fixed I would go for 900 pixels. Here's a site showing the screen resolution statistics: http://www.screen-resolution.com/com...esolutions.php.

Any other rules.. hm. Remember that everyone uses a forum differently, how you use it may not be how someone else does so don't think "Ah I don't have to worry about X" because it might be used a lot more by someone else
