Well im wanting something to record 2 CCTV cameras in my house (well looking out from my house) and record it maybe 2 days worth or even a day at a time? They both work through ether usb or yellow,white,red so ether way i could get it working. What is the best method to do?

Haven't a clue mate, going off topic a little can you get arrested from doing that without a permit, what if theres kids on your road?

You are allowed CCTV overlooking your own property.

There are a few ways you could record. You could record via USB to your PC (which requires your PC to be constantly online) or you could hook it up to a VCR/DVD player via RWY and record that way.

Basically through your computer because you will need something to render the video to save on the HDD.

Standard video recorders that allow you to record to them store a hard drive, you could possibly manipulate that to store it to the internal HDD memory.

I would recommend the PC if you aren't using DVD/VCRs as it will be easier to store and you'll have much more recording space on your PC.

You could get something like this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-RDRDC10...9704742&sr=8-2 - maybe with a bigger hard drive, which would then enable you to copy the recordings to disc for future reference etc..?

we have cameras but they don't work lol they're like 30 years old :/
