Default The Legend of Korra - Avatar Series Spinoff

I'll let the link do most of the talking, but the big news is that Nickelodeon just approved the creation of a brand new TV series that continues with the time line of "The Last Airbender" history, being 70 years into the future.

    http://tv.ign.com/articles/110/1107556p1.html

If you're too lazy to read the article (which isn't very long, mind you), I'll quickly explain the main idea of what's planned to be in the show. The story follows a Southern Water Tribe girl, Korra, who happens to be the next Avatar. She has already mastered three of the four elements, and now has to learn Airbending. So, she goes under the direction of Aang's son, Tenzin, to finish her training, but also finds obstacles in her travels to and in Republic City, a huge metropolis that is the center of the Avatar world culture. That is all that is announced for now, but I'm sure they have a really good plot waiting to be developed!

And plus, this will be made by the original two creators of the TV show, so you don't have to worry about Shyamalan ruining it!

So... thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Predictions? Tell me what you think!!

Never saw it, too old, don't care. Don't intend on seeing the live-action flick either.

There's an Avatar thread over in the Anime forum, you can find it here: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=586606
It's mainly concerned with the new movie, but I'm sure if you post your findings there it'll go down well too, everyone's right into The Last Airbender over there.

What's the point in needless hostility? Telling him that you don't care is contributing nothing to the thread and hardly welcoming him to the forum. Get over yourself.

It's contributing to the thread my opinion that I do not ever care to see it. There is no hostility towards him, only the programme.

And why so much hostility towards it?

What do you mean 'too old'?

And if you don't care, why bother posting? I'd understand if you had seen it before and didn't like it, but saying you don't care isn't contributing anything, as has already been stated.

And this new series looks pretty cool. Not sure it'll be as good as the original series, but sounds like a good fix.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've been on the internet long enough to know not to get insulted by dumb things like that. Anyway, it doesn't really sound like he was trying to insult me, it's not a huge deal.

I didn't think to look in the Anime section for some reason haha ... if a mod could move/delete this, it would probably organize things a little better.

Because this is a forum and I'm a film and TV journalist, so it's pretty fitting that I can voice my opinion in any way, shape or form...

I'm 20, I am not the intended audience.

And I show hostility towards it because I think it looks awful - not being a fan. If you're a fan and you care, that's great, but I'm not and I have said so... I have no "hostility" towards anyone who likes it.

If you voiced your opinion, you'd say you didn't like it, not didn't care. If you were on a forum, which you are, then you'd say WHY you didnt like it to provoke a discussion and then we wouldn't rip at you for not backing up what you say.

Also ,you aren't the intended audience, but i know people your age and older who have seen it, not good enough reason tbh.

And because it looks 'awful' ? Elaborate. Considering you're a TV And Film Journalist as you say so much, you should be able to look past the look of something, since generally one evaulating a movie or film takes into consideration the story much higher than how it looks
