Default Online radio - listeners have to close player and re-open for new presenter

Hi. I've been running an online radio station off and on for a while now (mainly off and on due to technical issues and lack of staff).

One problem I've recently noticed is if a presenter finishes a show, and another comes along, the listeners often have to close there players and re-open it as either they will hear nothing or it will play but keep buffering (this is fixed when closed and re-opened).

We try to do count downs to get the players on as close as possible - is there a way to make sure the stream actually stays - i'd hate to think we'd loose listeners when changing.

    Thanks.

I'm guessing you're using SAM Broadcaster? If so you have to use the exact same bitrate, such as 128kbps 24khz, and both of the presenters must have that. Plus normally I find it easier to do NWC (Next word connect). The presenter that's already on would say next word connect and the presenter coming up should go on SAM Broadcaster and when the window flashes they connect, I find it easier but it depends on the presenter.

Couldnt you put an iframe within the radios iframe, make it refresh every 3 seconds or so, and check if the radio is connected, if not, refresh the radio frame?

    Just a thought lol,
