Thumbs down Dislike the Web Market Merge

I look in the paid requests almost daily, and now that it's been merged it's not going to be as easy finding the requests due to the fact that many people won't use the prefixes. The same with free requests. Yes these forums are a little less used but they should have been altered in a different way.

For example have a single sub forum in web market called 'requests' and then within it have the prefixes 'free' and 'paid'. That at least keeps it in one place and reduces the free requests sub forum. The free requests and paid ones shouldn't be in totally different forums, it makes navigating a lot more complex.

I can see where you are coming from here. I like the prefixes that were put in trading. Made it much easier.

I agree that there should be prefixes for free and paid requests but if there was, then it would make sense for them to have their own sub-forum.

    Not online very often

They just aren't used enough to warrant their own subforum and a lot of members from the tech section agreed which is why the merge occurred. You should be able to tell what a thread is by it's title although I could put a forced-prefix on threads.

Already confusement is starting: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=663162 a new thread not using any prefix. Easy to tell with titles, but I just like to skim for any new threads, not spend twice as long looking. So yes, forced prefixes might be a good idea for this section.

I totally agree with the merges that have happened, the Web Design and market sections just aren't as active as they used to be (well, neither has the Technology section been really), but I do like the idea of forced prefixes, as Dan said, it would make skimming the page a lot easier.

Perhaps there's a mod for vB that would allow the user to filter down to a certain prefix? Like, have a drop down menu near the top of the page where you can select the prefix you want to see at that current point in time.

Don't need a mod I can make it do that on ACP.

What other prefixes would fit the section?

Well if we were going to have prefixes in there you may want to just take a quick look at merging the Web Hosts forum into it, it's not exactly the busiest forum in terms of threads created per day. I'm not saying you should but it may be an idea...

And seeing as it's a Web Market perhaps split the tags into Paid Design, Paid Coding, Free Design, Free Coding, I'm not too sure.

Whatever tags are added, make sure to add an 'other' tag for that odd post which doesn't fit a catagory here and there.

Paid request, free request, offering service, selling, buying are some good tags I think would be good to start with. I've noticed that a lot of the moderating in tech actually revolves around moving threads so I think the fewer forums the better really especially as no section is necessarily overflowing with popularity. If worst came to worst would moderators having to change a prefix or two occasionally to make this work be a bad thing
