    Hey,
    Im going to university next month for a masters in computing science and was wondering what your opinions were on the best, affordable, laptops available

    I know you said around ~£500 but I would spend a bit more and go for this, it's what I am considering for doing the same course.

    I'd get a laptop that you can use - I'm no expert in computer sciences at all but you'd need a laptop that can do certain stuff if you get me.

    No point buying a too cheap one that can't run certain stuff.

    Ive got a Dell Studio 15
    500GB Hard Drive
    4GB RAM
    Intel i5 processor
    Backlit keyboard, built in webcam.
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
    Got it for £550 in January.

    Its a great laptop for most tasks.
