Buying a computer - help please!

I'm starting work soon and as soon as I have enough to buy a computer i'm getting one! i'm fed up of debating with my sisters to get on the computer. so what do you guys recommend and why? Pc/netboo/mac etc

If you can afford to, or depending on where you live (as price fluctuates) if you plan on being on the go a lot I recommend a Macbook. The battery life on them is phenomenal and the trackpad is a godsend as far as trackpads go.

I really don't think buying a Netbook is your best bet anymore. If it were me I would really wait until a Windows 7 tablet came out, or even if you have a limited budget -- or don't wish to wait -- an Android tablet.

That's if portability is your concern. If you want something with a little more zing to it I suggest getting a PC overflowing with speed
