    Default Distant Relationships

Right, I've just come up to a hurdle. This me and this girl that I really, really like.
Problem is she lives 3 hours away, but I don't know how we're going to be able to see each other for much if it's like this, I mean it just doesn't makes sense to be seeing each other every week/ fortnight.
This is a relationship that I would really want long term, but I'm, worried that this will just slowly die away and we'll become just stuck. She's the perfect one for me, and vice versa - we click on literally so many things and this is just a hard thing to consider..
It was also mentioned that one of us can move so we can become more local and hence become much more convenient, but that's when we both hit uni; but we can't be waiting for eachother.

    Advice and suggestions please!

I think it depends on how much work you are both willing to put in. Oli and Nicola lived opposite sides of the country but managed a very healthy relationship being seeing each other when they could (not always every week or the like). I had a relationship where it was very difficult to see the girl and it seemed like she wasn't willing to put the effort in to see me as much as I was to see her and that fizzled out.

So it will be hard but not impossible, I'd say you just need to make sure you're both 100% committed to making it work over distance.

I'd go for it if it was only 3 hours. Just both of you put in the effort, she comes to you you go to her kinda thing, split the costs, put in the work. Some relationships just don't work. My girlfriend moved to China, but I know if she had moved across the country I'd have kept it up.

You both need to work at it, 3 hours is nothing. Obviously it's going to be harder than the average relationship but if you both want it there is no reason why it shouldn't work. How long until you get to uni?

I wouldn't hop right into things such as moving just yet, if you last apart for a while then I'd say its worth it.

Distant relationships are great, you don't have to actually see them so if you can live without the physical nonsense (which I personally can quite easily) then it's all good and none of the problems.
