They only open them when they need staff. So what happens when the week they would get asked they say no. Then a week later 3 or 4 staff resign (may or may not happen), then they have to wait for them to get the option to open.
Uhm but they would be takeing the risk

They aren't entrepreneurs.
I agree with Jord, I have noticed some jobs hold more resignation than others so I don't see the point in this idea.
Also, say you are on the do not hire list for a month, and at the start of the month the applications for say Competitions open and you really want to enter, if they re-open in another 3 weeks you're still on the do not hire list so can't apply yet again. Then the 3 weeks after that the competitions department may not need anymore staff.
Also, with places like Events, they have or used to have a month trial, and if they are picking about 7 new trialists at a time, even I can see 14 trialists is too much to go by, it would mean limiting trial periods, which would also require editing perms a lot. For who passed/failed resigned during. I just think it would be too much to handle, and as there are Competitions, Events, Help Desk, News, Values, Moderation, Graphics, Content (not sure if you get apps for that) and radio. There will be
A). Too many Announcements.
B). Not enough time for the managers to do their other jobs e.g. Alex3213, Bolt660, Roxy916.
C). Too many trialists at a given time, and as I think you are only allowed 2 Habbo based trials at a time, this would also fail.
Sorry for going into too much detail just thought you would like to hear my views.
I don't see this idea going anywhere in my opinion.
Nah this won't happen. It's just too impractical. Departments are changing all the time and by making them wait another 3 weeks isn't doing the site any favours at all.
Don't fix what ain't broken.
It'd be unfair on the staff in the department if they had to wait months for staff as the only way to fill the gap until you hire more staff is giving more work to the staff you currently have.
Sorry, don't think this is a good idea but at least you had the guts to give it a go when other people tend to just avoid the feedback section![]()
Thanks for the feedback thread although this idea wouldn't really work well at all I'm afraid. Habbox departments change all the time on a daily basis with people coming and going. At the moment opening applications when a department needs staff works very well for them and we shall be sticking with that method.
It's becasue of like they aalll open at once like hxhd and shar bumps it like every 2 hours and then the competitions deptment don't get any applicants. Becasue of it

That's not the point though. The competitions applications unfortunately got bumped down from HxHD twice in half an hour but even still, it doesn't really bother us. The departments run when they need staff, not when they want staff. Otherwise half of Habbox will be hired and the way it works won't be sufficent enough to maintain. It's too impractical.
plugged apps *+*

This would not work at all.
Sometimes it's been months between me opening applications, this is because the department stays pretty full at certain times of year. Then it's get to a point like this time of year (people going back to school/college) and they feel they don't have as much free time anymore, so we loose lots of staff easier and thus we want to open applications more frequent.
If applications are opened every 3 weeks, it would mean the departments would have a week's rest from trialists (Trials usually last 2 weeks) now i can't see enough people leaving in one week to warrent opening application again.
I have a number of staff that my department gets down to before i open applications, this ensures our department doesn't get too full or too empty. I'm sure all the other departments work in this way too.
I've left.I'm back.
